Goerz Anschütz Ango - 105 Years Later

105 years later the Goerz Anschütz Ango has returned for duty across the Ypres Salient of Belgium and the Somme Region of France.

This actual camera dates back to its original roots at the Battle of the Somme on July 1st, 1916.

The film holders have been adapted for usage with orthochromatic x-ray film instead of the original dry glass plates of the era.

I have selected different areas for the photographs that were taken during the war years and now I will be trying to re-create pictures from these same positions as best I can now in 2023.
